Air Rail Connections

This article explains scenarios where a train connection is booked together with an airline ticket.

With some airlines (e.g., SWISS or Lufthansa) and in certain regions (such as Europe), you can book a rail connection as part of your airline ticket.

At the moment, BagID does not support such connections, although it is with a partner airline. You will receive an error message in the app indicating that your BagID cannot be used for this journey, even though the flight itself may be eligible for the use of electronic bag tags.

You may still be able to add your flight to the app, but you will not be able to check in your baggage in these cases.
