Learn how to check in luggage in the BagID app and transfer the bag tag to your BagID 2 for flights withNorwegian and Widerøe.

Before starting, make sure you have set up your BagID account, connected your BagID 2 to the app, and that you have a valid subscription.

Add your flight in BagID app

  • Open the BagID app.
  • Navigate to the 'Flights' section.
  • Select 'Add new flight.'
  • Choose the airline you'll be flying with from the list.
  • Enter your reference number. You can find this in the travel documents provided by your airline.
  • Verify that the last name matches the one on the ticket.

Your upcoming flight will now be displayed under 'Upcoming flights.'

Check in luggage and transfer the bag tag to the BagID

To check in your luggage using the BagID-app, you must first complete your flight check-in with the airline and ensure you have baggage allowance. You can typically check in with your airline 24 to 48 hours before departure.

If you added your flight to the BagID-app before completing the check-in process with your airline, you'll need to select 'Refresh' in the upcoming flight section before proceeding to check in your luggage using the BagID-app.

  • Tap 'Check-in' at the bottom right corner. You will be prompted to confirm the route and transfer the baggage tag. Allow the app a moment to process your request.
  • You will then receive instructions to connect with your BagID.
  • Press the left button once to activate Bluetooth. The device will enter pairing mode when the light turns blue.
  • A message in the app will confirm the completion of the 'Bag tag transfer' and the bag tag will show up on your BagID screen.
