Learn how to add and remove your BagID in the SmartThings app.
Before adding the BagID to SmartThings Find you need to activate the SmartThings Find functionality on the BagID. Read how to do that here. When SmartThings Find is activated on the BagID, you can add the BagID to the SmartThings app.
Add BagID to the SmartThings Find app
- Open the SmartThings app.
- Usually, SmartThings will detect that your BagID is nearby and notify you with a pop up message. Click on 'Add now'.
- Allow SmartThings to use your location information.
- Press the right button on your BagID once.
- Alternatively, scan the QR code on the back of your device and follow the instructions in the app.
If the BagID is not paired in the Samsung SmartThings Find mobile app within 5 minutes, the SmartThings Find functionality will be automatically disabled, and three beeps will be heard.

Remove BagID from the SmartThings Find app
- Open the SmartThings Find app
- Find your BagID in the hub
- Long tap on the BagID
- Tap 'Remove'
