Yes, it is possible to loan your BagID to someone.
You would have to disconnect the BagID from your user in the app, and remove it from your Apple Find My or Samsung SmartThings Find app.
- Launch the BagID app and tap on 'BagIDs'.
- Select the specific device you want to disconnect.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap on 'Remove'.
- This action will sever the connection between your user and the device.
- Remove the BagID from Apple Find My or Samsung SmartThings Find,
If the person you are lending your BagID to tries to add your BagID before you have disconnected it, they will get a message indicating that the device is already linked to another user, and not be able to add it.
The user borrowing your BagID needs to set up their own account. They can follow the get started set up. They would also have to have a subscription, or use the pay-per-use option to use the electronic bag tag feature.
When you are ready to switch back just follow this same procedure.
