The BagID appears as an unknown device in Apple Find My

You receive this message when the BagID is added to someone else's Apple Find My app, but it is nearby you.

It alerts that it is not associated with the original account.

We suggest trying the following:

  • Start by removing the device from the Find My app
    • Go to 'Items' → Scroll all the way down and press 'Remove item' 

Once you have successfully connected the devices, see if you can play a sound from the Find My app. This will confirm that the phone and the BagID are paired.

We also recommend ensuring that your Apple device has the latest iOS update installed.
