You receive this message when the BagID is added to someone else's Apple Find My app, but it is nearby you.
It alerts that it is not associated with the original account.
We suggest trying the following:
- Start by removing the device from the Find My app
- Go to 'Items' → Scroll all the way down and press 'Remove item'
- Try an Apple Find My Factory Reset
- Successful completion will display a message on the screen
- Activate 2FA (external source)
- Go to your iPhone's Bluetooth settings and delete the BagID
- Restart your phone
- Try to activate Find My again and pair the BagID with the phone
Once you have successfully connected the devices, see if you can play a sound from the Find My app. This will confirm that the phone and the BagID are paired.
We also recommend ensuring that your Apple device has the latest iOS update installed.
