Before you start troubleshooting
- Make sure your BagID is charged
- Make sure your mobile phone operating system (iOS or Android) is updated to the latest version
- Make sure the BagID app is updated to the latest version
- Update the BagID firmware if there is an update available in the app
Issues with the connection between the BagID app and the BagID
- Remove the BagID from the BagID app
- Close the BagID app
- Turn your phone off and on again
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your phone and that you give the BagID app access to Bluetooth
- Reboot the BagID (three clicks on the left button)
- Add the BagID to the BagID app again
Still experiencing issues? Try a factory reset of the BagID. (Click five times on the right button within 2 seconds, then three clicks on the left button.)
Issues with tracking
- Remove the BagID from the BagID app
- Close the BagID app
- Remove the BagID from the Apple Find My or Samsung SmartThings Find app
- Deactivate the Apple Find My or Samsung SmartThings Find functionality on the BagID if it is active (you can check this by pressing the right button once for Apple and the left button twice for Samsung - the status will show as Find my on/off or ST Find on/off on the device)
- Turn your phone off and on again
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your phone and that you give the BagID app access to Bluetooth
- Reboot the BagID (three clicks on the left button)
- Add the BagID to the BagID app
- Activate the Find My or SmartThings Find tracking functionality on the BagID
- Add the BagID to Find My or SmartThings Find
Still experiencing issues? Repeat the steps above, but instead of deactivating the tracking functionality and rebooting the BagID, perform factory reset of the tracking functionality (Find My or SmartThings Find), and factory reset of the BagID device.
Issues with the device
- Reboot the BagID (three clicks on left button)

If these actions did not help, please contact us at support@bagid.no and describe the issue. It would be helpful if you included screenshots or a video of the issue.
Be aware that the buttons on the BagID could be a bit hard to press, and the button commands could sometimes be difficult to perform. This is intentional so that the button commands not accidentally gets performed during travel and cause changes to the BagID. When you click a button you should get an audible signal (a "click" sound).
Please follow the guides to make sure you have performed the button commands correctly, you might need a couple of tries.
